Job Description

Overview of Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Solutions Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative technology solutions that meet the complex business requirements of our organization. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve on an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) team to support the business of Finance and Human Resources
  • Maintain a high level of user expertise for the ERP platform
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify gaps, and develop strategic solutions using Workday and related applications
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of ERP modules
  • Oversee the integrations of ERP with other business systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Conduct all phases of system changes for each new Workday release, including planning, design, configuration, testing and training
  • Assess the impact to current and future processes, analyze upstream and downstream impact to the business and systems
  • Consult and help lead stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement new continuous improvement opportunities
  • Responsible for supporting cross-border and cross-functional process improvements projects and delivering measurable improvements
  • Develop technical documentation, including solution design documents, data flow diagrams, and system architecture diagrams
  • Solving service and incident tickets within an IT ticketing system
  • Contribute ideas for continually improving the team’s productivity, job enjoyment and code quality

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS

An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience: 2 years of Workday functional and/or technical skills
  • 2 years of experience in business analysis or solution architecture
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Workday business processes and functions
  • Expertise in business process development including utilizing custom conditional rules and calculated field creation
  • Knowledge of the Financial modules is preferred - such as FDM, Accounting, Procurement, etc.
  • Knowledge: Information Security (PCI, PII)
  • Workflow configurations
  • Data Migration
  • Interfaces, APIs
  • SDKs
  • GUI support
  • Licenses Or Certificates Required: Valid Colorado Driver's License
  • Physical Demands : Light physical work requiring ability to life a maximum of 25 pounds, including lifting 10 pounds overhead
  • Occasional carrying, walking and standing
  • Vision to analyze data and read and interpret reports, documents and other written information
  • Hand/eye coordination for operation of computer keyboard
  • Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens
  • Capable of driving between city supported buildings and to meetings in the Denver metro area as needed
  • Work Environment : Normally works in a clean, comfortable environment
  • System support issues may require working outside the office environment and in or around emergency response vehicles
  • Requires rotational on-call support status after normal business work hours
  • Equipment Used : Standard business and professional tools and equipment including computers, laptop computers and mobile computing devices
