Job Description

The Credit Monitoring Analyst will assist with the monitoring of borrowing bases, the development of exception reports, the entering and tracking of credit documents, and providing back up for all areas within the Credit Monitoring Department as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with training Credit Monitoring Analysts.
2. Assist in preparing various reports for the Credit Risk Management Committee.
3. Understand loan policy and credit exception tracking procedures, be able to cite deviations from loan policy and proper approval authorities.
4. Responsible for entering credit documentation, including financial reporting and covenants received on new and existing customers into the bank tracking system.
5. Enter and update borrowing base calculations.
6. Update covenants.
7. Research and correct errors in entering and tracking of credit exceptions as well as interact and communicate effectively with Lenders, Assistants, and Loan operations.
8. Perform special projects as assigned.
9. Compliance with any and all BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions requirements set forth by Bank Policy and Procedure, including but not limited to timely completion of assigned training.

The position performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position is responsible for training and coaching credit monitoring analyst(s).

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The incumbent is in a non-confined office setting in which they are free to move about at will. In the course of performing the duties and responsibilities of this position spends time writing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), sitting, typing on a computer keyboard, and standing, kneeling and reaching.

The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, copy and fax machine, adding machine, computer and related printers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

These specifications are guidelines based on the minimum experience required to perform the essential functions of the job. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of banking experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in all lending activities and terminology.
• Intermediate knowledge and training in lending activities and terminology.
• Intermediate knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies.
• Advanced math skills; ability to calculate proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
