Insight Global is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic to join our team, focusing on troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electronic, electrical, and mechanical components of automated pavement measurement equipment. The role involves participating in the design, fabrication, and procurement of data measurement systems, maintaining equipment inventory, and assisting in data processing and analysis. The ideal candidate will also prepare and deliver presentations, write operation manuals, and develop equipment specifications. Additionally, you will participate in testing, calibration, and correlation of pavement data measurement systems, ensuring all tasks are performed with minimal supervision while adhering to standard practices. This role requires driving state vehicles regularly, you must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Background report and have at minimum a class C driver's license. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Mechanical, automotive, electronics or diesel mechanic experience.
  • Experience working with control computers
  • Basic computer/fax/scan abilities Experience working with hydraulic systems (I.E. bleeding hydraulic systems)
  • Experience working with pneumatic systems
  • Strong organizational skills

Compensation

  • $20/hr to $30/hr
  • Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
  • Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.
  • Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
