Position Overview 

As a Regional Sales Manager at Contura Vet, you will spearhead the mission to redefine the standard of care in canine osteoarthritis. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of our innovative product, Arthramid®, a 2.5% polyacrylamide hydrogel. You will focus on expanding usage in high-tier clinics and acquiring new accounts that are prepared to embrace significant changes in canine osteoarthritis care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion: Develop and implement robust sales strategies to both deepen and expand usage of Arthramid across top-tier veterinary practices and new accounts, ensuring alignment with canine team strategies and initiatives.

  • Customer Engagement: Deliver dynamic sales pitches and technical presentations to diverse audiences, including face-to-face and virtual settings, focusing on the scientific benefits of Arthramid in managing joint disease.

  • Strategic Alliances: Work closely with the technical veterinary services team, distribution partners, and corporate business developers to drive broader market penetration and foster long-term adoption among veterinarians.

  • Performance Tracking: Utilize Salesforce to meticulously track sales activities, document all customer interactions, and develop tailored account plans aimed at maximizing customer engagement and satisfaction.

  • Education and Training: Lead educational sessions, including wet labs and seminars, to enhance understanding and utilization of Arthramid among veterinary professionals.

  • Industry Presence: Represent Contura Vet at regional, national, and possibly international conferences and professional gatherings, expanding our visibility and influence in the market.

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (50% overnight travel, 75% field-based role).

  • Basic understanding of canine joint anatomy and function, osteoarthritis, and common related conditions such as lameness and metabolic disorders.

  • Strong consultative selling skills with proven sales performance in animal health, demonstrating the ability to sell effectively.

  • Ability to deliver technical presentations confidently to various audience sizes, with excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using a CRM such as Salesforce for managing accounts and tracking sales activities.

  • Ability to create and execute detailed territory business plans, including effective territory routing and account management strategies.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.

  • Self-starter, capable of working independently and achieving set goals with minimal supervision.

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a commitment to driving meaningful change in the veterinary industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant sales experience.

  • Must reside within 1 hour of a major airport.

Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively converting leads and expanding customer base within designated territories.

Account Penetration: Increase the depth of use in existing accounts and elevate the number of super-user advocates among veterinary practices.

Customer Retention: Maintain high retention rates and customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups, training, and support.

Market Feedback: Regularly gather and report market feedback to inform product enhancements and marketing strategies.
