Assembly & Test Supervisor - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH

Supervise and direct assembly and test technicians for BWXT NOG-E A&T operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assign and supervise work flow through A&T operations to meet production schedules.
  • Review and enforce Company and A&T policies and administrative procedures.
  • Review, approve and enforce A&T production procedures.
  • Provide technical input for continuous process improvements.
  • Hold shift meetings to assure effective department communication.
  • Formulate and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct technical training for A&T Technicians.
  • Promote strong safety culture.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and establish individual's goals for direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Associate’s degree in mechanical or electronic technology is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of relevant, technical experience in a precision electromechanical Assembly & Test environment is required
  • Five (5) years of NR Program experience is preferred.
  • Must be available and willing to work any shift depending on business need.
  • Some daily and weekend overtime will be required to support the A&T schedules.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must already have and be able to maintain a DOE security clearance.

Working Conditions

Clean, precision assembly environment. Must be able to work any shift depending on business need. Some daily and weekend overtime is required to support the assembly and test schedules. The position involves frequent periods walking throughout the process centers. Elevated work platforms and pits require the ability to navigate ladders and stairs. Frequent need to give close attention to work performed. Occasional lifting should be expected.
