We are seeking a collaborative and driven professional to join our team onsite as a Business Partner to the CEO. This critical role supports the CEO’s agenda, enabling them to focus on the organization’s most strategic priorities.

This position requires a strong team player with exceptional strategic acumen, creativity, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, humility, and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization, while managing high-priority initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of the CEO’s objectives.

Job Specific Duties

• Supports strategic planning efforts and conducts financial analysis in partnership with the finance team to aid the CEO’s decision-making. This includes evaluating opportunities, forecasting outcomes, assessing risks, and aligning financial insights with organizational goals.
• Implements and maintains effective monitoring and reporting practices.
• Coordinate schedules and ensure the CEO has the required information and resources to successfully complete critical steps.
• Conduct supporting analysis and research. Align with CEO on critical topics of relevance – both internal and external. Research topics and provide CEO with analysis and reading materials. Includes ongoing topics of interest (e.g. CEO effectiveness, brand development, building culture, leadership, etc.)
• Plan, organize, and develop materials for meetings, presentations, and events, ensuring alignment with the CEO’s objectives and messaging. This includes contributing ideas, framing, conducting research and analysis, and creating presentation slides and other materials to support the CEO and executive team for both internal and external engagements.
• Support CEO and executive team on preparation for board meetings and quarterly meetings.
• Monitors industry trends and competitor activities, providing the CEO with insights and actionable intelligence to shape strategic direction.
• Assists in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for CEO-led projects and initiatives, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress against these benchmarks.
• Oversees content creation for CEO communications, including memos, newsletters, and talking points, aligning messaging with corporate strategy and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or other related disciplines.
• MBA preferred.
• Ability to understand and analyze financial statements.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Strong research and analytical capability and the ability to synthesize that information.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation) and demonstrated success engaging people in ideas, influencing.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork, resourcefulness, sound judgment, be trustworthy with sensitive information and demonstrate shared values.
• Must be willing to support from behind the CEO and recognize that they represent the office of the CEO.
• Emotional maturity, flexibility, resiliency, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations is a necessity and take on a variety of tasks as requested.
• Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability is required.
• Proficiency is expected in MS Office suite including PowerPoint and Excel, as well as any other business intelligence software is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to create and drive strategies, work independently, and simultaneously manage diverse assignments while remaining organized.
• Proven time management skills, with an ability to effectively establish and execute priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Valid passport with the ability to travel to the U.S/Canada or internationally as required.
• Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.
• Available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and extended hours if needed.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work independently but also be a good team player.
• Full time hours Monday to Friday with availability to work flexible hours including weekends and extended hours if needed.
• Frequent travel within and outside of Canada/U.S.

Physical Requirements

• Most of the day is spent in the office – walking sitting and standing throughout the day.
• Use of stairs/elevators.
• Required to participate in promotions, tradeshows and/or company events that require walking/standing for long periods of time.
