The Center for Fair Futures is a youth-led advocacy movement dedicated to supporting young people who are system-involved in foster care and juvenile justice. Our mission is to help these young people reach their full potential through a comprehensive, youth-centered model of support. From middle school through age 26, we provide individualized coaching, career exploration, educational opportunities, and more to help them navigate life's challenges.

Through our groundbreaking work, Fair Futures has successfully raised $30 million from the City of New York, enabling the implementation of our model across all 25 foster care agencies in the city. The initiative is led by our Youth Advisory Board (YAB), whose voices have been central to shaping our approach and advocating for system-involved youth.

Position Overview

The Center for Fair Futures is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as its Chief Learning and Impact Officer. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing and centralizing professional development and training efforts across the Fair Futures initiative, which includes over 500 staff in New York City and Buffalo, in addition to CFF’s internal staff.

The Chief Learning and Impact Officer will lead the development and expansion of a robust training infrastructure, including launching the Coaching and Training Institute to support external youth-serving organizations. This leader will foster a culture of continuous learning and ensure all training efforts align with the organization’s mission to uplift and empower young people.

Key Responsibilities

- Centralize and lead all training and professional development for Fair Futures staff.

- Design and scale learning programs aligned with the Fair Futures model, values, and goals.

- Develop trauma-informed, strength-based curricula to support coaches in building meaningful relationships with youth.

- Lead the launch and strategic growth of the Coaching and Training Institute.

- Supervise the training team and support their development.

- Cultivate relationships with external organizations to expand the Institute.

- Monitor training effectiveness and implement improvements.

- Align training and development with CFF’s long-term strategy.

- Communicate training offerings and outcomes.

Key Qualifications

- 15+ years of experience in youth development, nonprofit leadership, or social innovation.

- Proven ability to scale training programs across large, multi-site organizations.

- Expertise in coaching and leadership development; master-level coaching certifications preferred.

- Strong leadership and team management experience.

- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

- Deep passion for professional development and supporting system-involved youth.

- Commitment to trauma-informed and youth-centered practice.
