Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (1-hour lunch) or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM (30-minute lunch) (Saturday start time can begin at 8 AM if preferred)

Job Summary: The Healthcare Representative will assist patients and their families in navigating benefit coverage and applications in a hospital setting. This role involves direct interaction with patients, hospital staff, and government agencies to facilitate the approval process for federal and state benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interview patients within the hospital to understand eligibility for various benefits.
• Assist with the completion of applications for state and federal programs.
• Review medical records and provide necessary documentation to expedite benefit approval.
• Maintain compliance with company and legal standards regarding Protected Health Information (PHI), Personal Identifiable Information (PII), and Personnel Transaction Identifier (PTI).
• Communicate with government agencies regarding claims status and follow up accordingly.
• Provide updates and support to hospital staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in hospital and company systems.
• Determine appropriate application processes based on medical conditions and government eligibility.
• Work efficiently within a fast-paced hospital or healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree (preferred).
• 1-3+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with federal and state programs for patient benefit coverage.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience working with patients and hospital personnel from diverse backgrounds.

Soft Skills:

• Strong organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Adaptability in a healthcare environment.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

• General office demands with prolonged periods of standing and walking within hospital facilities.
• Required to follow hospital-specific infection control policies.

Team Environment: The Healthcare Representative will collaborate with two additional team members on-site.
