We’re partnering with a private club in the Fort Myers area seeking a Director of Finance who can run a clean set of books and lead with vision. You’ll oversee all financial operations — from budgeting and forecasting to guiding capital projects and reporting directly to the GM/COO and Finance Committee.

You’ll lead a talented accounting team, work cross-functionally with department heads, and help drive member confidence through financial clarity. This is the kind of environment where emotional intelligence matters just as much as GAAP — and where politics, boardroom dynamics, and strategic thinking come with the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all accounting operations: GL, AP/AR, payroll, financial reporting
• Develop and present budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards
• Serve as a financial advisor to the GM/COO, department heads, and Board
• Oversee internal controls, audits, and compliance
• Mentor and lead a lean team of accounting and purchasing staff
• Liaise with the Finance Committee and support long-range capital planning

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
• 7+ years in a senior finance role — ideally in a private club, resort, or hospitality setting
• Strong communicator who can simplify complex financials for non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution
• Politically savvy and able to thrive in a high-touch, member-driven environment
