This position reports to

Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. The work model for the role is: local Remote You will be mainly accountable for: Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points. Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform. Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.

Qualifications for the role

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 or more years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent military experience or Associates Degree with 2 or more years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment preferred
  • Experience with 3 phase (208/480vac) power distribution equipment (UPS, PDU, STS, Panelboards, etc.) or similar/relevant Military experience and or field service experience.
  • Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization.
  • Advanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office products.
  • Moderate ability to self-Project Manage using MS Project or Excel.
  • Advanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test results
  • Ability to travel 75% (occasional nights and weekends)
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
