$28-$35/hr.

Job Overview: This position requires expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on both mid-size diesel trucks and gas vehicles. Ensuring all equipment is kept in top working condition by performing regular maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring all safety standards are always met. Computer skill to maintain and upload maintenance records in a paperless capacity.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic of chippers, dump trucks and boom trucks.
· Extensive knowledge of construction-related equipment repair, including arrow boards, pickup trucks, dump trucks (1ton to 7 ton), crew trucks, skid steers, hydraulic buckets.
· Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and diesel repair.
· Proficiency in diesel repair, mechanics, drivetrain components, air brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
· Welding and fabrication skills.
· Fluency in English, both verbal and written, Spanish is a plus.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Must pass a background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening processes.
· Results-oriented.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on trucks and vehicles in the yard and in the field.
· Troubleshoot diesel, electrical, chassis, hydraulic and mechanical issues.
· Work overtime and weekends as needed.
· Maintain accurate records of time, parts, and supplies through mechanical software and paperless tracking with scanner.
· Express a positive work environment.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to the Company’s Alcohol and Drug-Free Policy
· Reliable attendance and punctuality
· Perform other duties
Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted
· Able to walk, stand, stoop, bend, see, hear and communicate clearly.
· Requires manual agility for reaching and lifting equipment.
Work Environment: Frequent exposure to outdoor elements.
