The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance team and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant equipment, infrastructure, and grounds. This role oversees all aspects of maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, project management, safety compliance, and vendor coordination. The position requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of machinery and equipment, and a commitment to continuous improvement and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage maintenance personnel, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure a safe work environment through proactive safety leadership and strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Investigate safety-related equipment stoppages and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct and lead safety-related meetings and communications, including pre-shift and departmental updates.
• Perform root cause analysis on incidents and implement timely corrective actions.
• Establish, monitor, and audit a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Oversee major repairs, upgrades, and capital projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Review and manage work orders, assigning tasks and ensuring quality execution by qualified personnel.
• Coordinate with external vendors for services including grounds maintenance, equipment repairs, waste removal, and janitorial services.
• Manage departmental projects and ensure high-quality standards are met.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained in equipment operation and safety practices, including Lock-Out Tag-Out, PPE, arc flash safety, and more.
• Conduct performance evaluations, manage work schedules, track timekeeping, and take appropriate actions for performance issues.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• 3–5 years of successful supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and injection molding equipment.
• Proficiency in PLC programming.
