Job Description

About us

Sharegain began with one question: If the largest institutions solely exercise the right to lend their stocks, bonds, and ETFs, what would it take to unlock this revenue opportunity for every investor?

Our team of experts in the US, UK and Israel built the solution: a platform that empowers online brokers, private banks, and wealth managers to offer securities lending to their clients. We call it SLaaS: Securities Lending as a Service. It’s a fully digital, customizable, end-to-end solution that automates front- and back-office operations. Institutions and investors are now free to earn more from what they own.

Every Sharegainer has their own backstory, but we all share an ambition to do things differently – bigger, better, and greater. Together we’re on a mission to democratize capital markets by building a more liquid world. The more we share, the more we all gain.

Responsibilities

As an Operations Analyst, you will have an understanding of the securities lending market and confidence in working with evolving processes – both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be expected to manage daily operations of the US office (a rapidly growing broker dealer) as well as identify and build new and automated processes while working closely with Research & Development and Sales teams.

  • Monitor and manage securities lending transactions to ensure timely settlement and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Management and agreement of collateral (cash and non-cash) and experience with end to end trade lifecycle processes from point of trade through settlement and post trade life-cycle management (corporate events, contract compare etc).
  • Reconcile daily positions and transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines related to securities lending set by regulatory bodies such as the SEC, FINRA, and other global authorities.
  • Work in a global environment across a team that serves lenders located in several countries, lends securities from 40 different countries, and accepts a growing range of collateral.

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within Securities Lending Operations within a financial institution.
  • A thorough understanding of the operations underlying the movement of cash and non-cash collateral in the United States.
  • FINRA series SIE and 99 and a clean record with no disclosures are required.
  • Strong working knowledge of DTC – specifically in reference to securities lending (International markets helpful, but not a requisite).
  • Ability to work within a global team across a broad range of clients, securities, and forms of collateral.
  • An understanding of the operational structure of online brokers, clearing brokers, investment managers and wealth managers.
  • Proficient experience with the below:
    1. Trade Support / Settlements
    2. Reconciliations (Familiarity with Loanet and Pirum)
    3. Exposure Management (including Triparty)
    4. Corporate Action/Dividend processing

Additional skills

  • Accountability and risk management : You will own your tasks and identify potential risks or weaknesses in the process.
  • Proactive problem solving: You will proactively point out and work on initiatives and projects that will evolve our operational processes and business.
  • As a Sharegain employee:
    1. You are strong-minded, open, collaborative, and enjoy both giving, and receiving constant feedback.
    2. You take the time to support the personal growth of your colleagues.
    3. You are a self-driven individual with humility, integrity, and a positive attitude who feels comfortable working both as an individual contributor and within a team.

Sharegain is an equal opportunity employer. Employees and contractors, as well as prospective employees and contractors, will all be treated equally and fairly. We are passionate in our belief that a diverse workforce is central to our success, and we are proud to reflect this within our recruiting processes.
