Job Description

Our client is a privately held compounding pharmacy located in Little Rock, AR. They are dedicated to providing customized medications tailored to the unique needs of their patients. As they expand services and reach, they seek a Pharmacist to join their team and drive growth in the compounding services.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and execute non-sterile and/or sterile compounding operations.
  • Conduct clinical consultations with providers and patients to ensure appropriate therapy selection, dosage form, and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Provides oversight of and ensures compliance with all pharmacy accreditations and standards.
  • Assures quality, timely, and efficient production practices that meet the needs of customers and employees.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough batch records, master formulation records, and quality assurance logs.
  • Research, develop, and optimize formulations with an emphasis on stability, compatibility, and bioavailability.
  • Supervise compounding technicians and ensure continuous staff education and training.
  • Working with the respective collaborative teams to ensure compliance with changes and providing input to regulatory and accrediting agencies as appropriate on new and revised regulations and standards.
  • Implement monitoring, strategies, and accountability for improvement of production management.
  • Ensures compliance with DEA controls and overall standards of operation for all pharmacy activities.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

  • Pharm D degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Pharmacist License in Arkansas and in good standing.
  • 1 year of compounding experience (non-sterile required; sterile preferred).
  • Familiarity with compounding software is preferred.
