About the Job:

Convergence is seeking a Production Assistant to add to its growing production team. Looking for individuals with interest/experience in politics and production. This individual must be a self-starter with keen attention to detail, an informed knowledge of the current political landscape, and possess exceptional written communication skills. You will work in tandem with our Director of Video Production and Associate Producer to support the production workload in the Atlanta office; hybrid role (work from home and office). This position reports to the Vice President of Production.

Key Responsibilities:

Production

• Maintain an assignment board of all production projects that includes shoots/edits/shipping date/etc.
• Assist with concept creation to learn Convergence’s writing process.
• Assist in booking crews and shoot logistics (travel and planning)
• Travel, as needed, to assist on shoots.

Post-Production

• Quality Control: Create source documents and ensure all spelling and citations are correct.
• Back-up shoot footage to server.
• Load assets: stock video, photos, music and SFXs onto server.
• License stock assets used for each project.

Research

• Find video and photo assets and maintain up-to-date asset folders for Convergence clients.
• Gather information and create in-depth research documents for prospective clients and current clients and potential testimonial candidates; stream-line findings into one-sheets.
• Compile news clips pertinent to Convergence clients.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Self-starter
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proven ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
• Knowledge of the current political landscape
• Experience with the Adobe Suite is a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
