Job Title: Product/Sourcing Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking a Product/Sourcing Analyst to join our team. This role will primarily focus on product management responsibilities, with some sourcing-related tasks. The ideal candidate will excel at managing product development from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with retailer requirements and market trends. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential for success in this position. 

Key Responsibilities:  

1. Product Development: Lead the development of products from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with retailer directives and market trends. 
2. Specification Management: Create and maintain detailed product specifications to ensure products meet retailer expectations for quality and functionality. 
3. Pricing Development: Develop detailed pricing sheets, ensuring accurate cost breakdowns and alignment with budget targets. 
4. Retail Collaboration: Collaborate with retail partners like Target and Walmart to ensure product concepts, timelines, and launches meet their needs and expectations. 
5. Category Analysis: Evaluate the retail landscape to identify opportunities for new products and optimize product assortments. 
6. Data Analysis: Use sales data or other tools to analyze product performance, track trends, and inform strategic decision-making. 
7. Cross-functional collaboration: Work with internal teams, including design, logistics, and planning, to ensure smooth product development and delivery processes. 
8. International Sourcing: Collaborate with overseas teams and factories to source products across various categories, ensuring quality, compliance, and competitive pricing. 
9. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet regulatory standards and retailer specifications. 
10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving product design, cost efficiency, and operational processes. 

Skills and Qualifications:  

• Required:  
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. 
• Experience with product development and lifecycle management to create consumer goods 
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (experience with Tableau or similar tools is a plus). 
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills. 
• Ability to learn and adapt to the retail landscape and industry trends. 
• Four-year degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related disciplines).

• Preferred:  
• Knowledge of the electronics category or a desire to learn about product development and innovation in this space 
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing or sourcing partners to ensure product specifications and pricing align with project goals. 
• Familiarity with international sourcing and supply chain operations. 
• Retail experience or exposure to consumer product categories.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Work Location: On-Site, Eden Prairie, Minnesota *Local candidates only as no budget available for relocation.

Estimated Salary Range: between $67,000-$77,000 per year, subject to previous experience.
