Safety Supervisor

Location: Ocala, FL

Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 + 10% bonus

Our client, an industry leader in the mining and mineral processing sector, is seeking a Safety Supervisor to drive safety excellence at their Ocala, FL location.

About the Role

As the Safety Supervisor, you'll oversee comprehensive safety programs, ensuring compliance with MSHA standards and fostering a culture of safety excellence. This individual contributor role requires strong leadership to influence safety practices across the site while being hands-on in training, compliance, and incident management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure MSHA compliance through training, reporting, and documentation.
  • Conduct safety audits and lead site safety committees.
  • Investigate incidents and provide strategic insights for preventative measures.
  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training sessions.
  • Collaborate on safety considerations for capital projects and site upgrades.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience : 5–7 years in safety management, specifically in mining, aggregates, or related heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Certification : MSHA Parts 46 & 48 is preferred, but candidates with strong OSHA-based safety leadership in heavy industry will also be considered
  • Skills : Leadership, training facilitation, compliance expertise, and a collaborative approach to building trust.
