We are looking for a **S****egment Manager** for our **Phoenix** location. Responsibilities include maintaining a culture of teamwork and "safety first"; training employees; directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. As a Segment Manager you are accountable for the development and execution of Merchandising activities, development of staff, safety and security for assigned region and designated accounts. **POSITION SUMMARY**

**Compensation and Schedule**

* Competitive Salary

* 40+hrs per week

* M-F work Weeks (nights and weekends may be required)

* Cell Phone Allowance ($60/month)

* Holidays (as needed)

* Semi-Monthly pay schedule

* Monthly bonus (paid on performance against key metrics as assigned)

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES** *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.*

* Assist in creating plans for account servicing needs, ensuring company objectives are met and plans are communicated to team

* Manage regional department staffing needs, sourcing and interviewing candidates, hiring, retaining and encouraging positive turnover while staying within assigned budgetary limits

* Monitor daily progression of team members and communicate adjustments to meet changing needs and priorities

* Communicate weekly/daily volume changes and keep team informed of upcoming volume trends

* Coach and develop leaders and frontline employees through regular follow ups, and field evaluations, including performance reviews and recaps

* Keep merchandising team informed and engaged by conducting regular meetings with team and individuals alike. Ensure direct reports do the same

* Build and maintain good relationships with customers, including retail partners and sales team members

* Become proficient in existing and emerging technological platforms associated with the role to make data-based, business decisions

* Other duties as assigned

**REQUIREMENTS**

* Preferred 2-4 years of successful sales, operations or customer service management experience

* Experience managing and developing leaders

* **Internal Candidates:** Team Leader experience with demonstrated ability to influence peers across the organization (Sales, Brand Management, Operations & Marketing)

* **External Candidates:** Team Leader experience with demonstrated ability to influence peers across the organization (Sales, Brand Management, Operations & Marketing)

* Maintain a current/valid Arizona Drivers License with a clean driving record

* Good communication skills

* Ability to interact with diverse personalities

* Excellent customer service

* Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and/or nights as needed

* Must have a cell phone with data capability (cell phone allowance provided)

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization and write and respond appropriately to email.

**REASONING ABILITY**

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**

Must maintain a current/valid AZ Driver's License
