Job Description

Akkodis is seeking Design Engineer III for a contract job with a direct client in Gainesville, TX

Pay Range: $45- $55/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Title: Design Engineer III

Location: Gainesville, TX

Term: 6+ month contract

• Reviews specification as related to assigned job.
• Prepare check list.
• Prepare lay outs.
• Prepares structural sub-assemblies and drawings.
• Prepare sketches for details.
• Reviews drawing package to assure conformance to requirements.
• Submits completed drawings to project lead for approval and release.
• Liaison for assigned task.
• 5-10 years of exp- they shared they are willing to look at candidates that do not have their degree but have the experience they are looking for.
• Looking for a mechanical designer- aerospace or automotive is good. CATIA V5 – surfacing, SEATS experience is a plus

Education & Qualification

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree).

• Must have a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree
