RMC is hiring Writer-Editor II to support the Public Affairs / Corporate Communications Division at NSWC Indian Head. The selected candidate must have strong writing skills to assist in the planning, writing and editing of feature news and technical articles, internal communications, reports and presentations for release to interested internal or external audiences. In addition, have the ability to build relationships throughout the command as well as with the media and external stakeholders. The candidate may also support special events and tours/visits that support the NSWC IHD Corporate Communications Division.
Products supported by the Writer-Editor II include editing and preparing annual command publication, bi-weekly and monthly newsletters, press releases, reports, scripts, agendas, articles, fact sheets, PowerPoint briefs, website content, social media posts, digital signage posts, visitor packages, and other directly related Public Affairs materials. Lastly, assist the Director and the Public Affairs Officer with internal messages to NSWC IHD’s workforce as well as state of the base events to all departments.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
