Key Responsibilities:

The Automotive Thermal Validation Engineer is responsible for testing and validating thermal management systems , ensuring they meet performance, durability, and regulatory standards . This role involves data analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize cooling, HVAC, and powertrain thermal systems .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute thermal validation tests for HVAC, powertrain cooling, and battery thermal management systems .
  • Develop and maintain DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) and test procedures .
  • Conduct lab, wind tunnel, and vehicle-level testing to assess system performance.
  • Analyze test data , identify issues, and implement corrective actions .
  • Collaborate with Powertrain, Aero/Thermal, HVAC, and Engine Cooling teams to ensure system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (FMVSS, SAE, ISO).
  • Support climatic and durability testing , including extreme temperature and altitude conditions .
  • Work with suppliers to validate components and system performance .
  • Document and report test results, providing recommendations for system improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field .
  • 3+ years of experience in thermal validation, automotive testing, or thermal systems development .
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, powertrain cooling, and thermal management principles .
  • Experience with thermal simulation tools, data acquisition systems, and test equipment .
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools for data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment .
