Job Title: Director of Non-Degree Nursing Education

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation: Annual Salary + Mission Package Bonus

Location: Virginia-Based (Hybrid Work Allowed – Virginia Local Candidates Only)

 

About the Role

Curatio Medical Institute is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Director of Non-Degree Nursing Education to lead and grow our healthcare certification training programs. This leadership role will oversee existing programs such as the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and Medication Aide, while developing and launching future training programs, including CPR, Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant and EKG.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership in nursing education, strong curriculum development capabilities, and a thorough understanding of Virginia Board of Nursing (VBON) standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities Program Oversight & Regulatory Compliance

  • Oversee all aspects of the CNA certification course, including student recruitment, instructional delivery, and performance evaluation.
  • Serve as the CNA Course Coordinator and Primary Instructor, ensuring program delivery meets all VBON standards and prepares students for certification success.
  • Supervise assistant instructors, providing instructional leadership and ensuring teaching excellence across all sessions.
  • Develop and maintain all course content, including skills lab alignment, instructional materials, exams, and grading procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze student performance and certification testing results, taking proactive steps to maintain strong outcomes.
  • Maintain full VBON compliance for all program documentation, instruction, and recordkeeping.
  • Lead the Medication Aide program development and approval process, including application submission and coordination with VBON for successful certification launch.

Certification Program Expansion

  • Design and implement new non-degree certification programs in areas such as CPR, CMA, Phlebotomy, and EKG, aligning with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage instructors and assistant faculty, ensuring consistency and instructional quality across all programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field
  • Active Virginia RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience, plus 1 year of supervisory experience in a long-term care setting
  • Extensive understanding of non-degree program design and implementation
  • Demonstrated experience in program management, regulatory compliance, and faculty coordination
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills and attention to details
  • Proficiency with educational tools and platforms used in healthcare instruction.
